Jim is a lifelong resident of Kirtland, Ohio. He attended & graduated from the Kirtland schools then went on to earn his BSBA from Ohio University in Athens. Jim worked with his father Howard E. (Sam) Ayers from the age of 14 to 21. After Howard’s untimely death in 1970, Jim ran the business for his mother Eloise Ayers for two years until he purchased the company himself in 1972. Jim met and married his wife Mary in 1975 and had two sons Jimmy (1976) and Mike (1980). Over the years, Jim has completed various technical schools including Myers Pump School, Red Jacket Pump School, Gould Pump School, Schramm Technical Drilling Schools, Water Soft Training School, Baroid Drilling Fluids Certification course, and is a Certified Class a Public Water System Operator. Jim is also a past president of the Ohio Water Well Association (OWWA).
Hobbies: Traveling, skeet shooting, fishing and work.
Work fun fact: Started working with my father at 12 years old. Carrying water for the old drilling rigs and just being around the jobs. Worked on various commercial project around Northeast Ohio over the years.
Bucket list: See another Cleveland Browns championship ( I was at the last one in 1964!), Travel to Italy
Favorite quote: “A bend in the road is not the end of the road, unless you fail to make the turn”
Favorite food: Steak & Lobster
Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: People & changes of seasons. Least favorite thing is the changes of seasons!!

Mary Ayers has handled the office duties for Ayers Well Drilling for over 30 years. Her varied duties include handling Accounts Payable, Human Resources and Advertising. She has performed these duties while raising a family. Working with her husband, Jim Ayers, the office has grown from a room in their home to a separate building housing state of the art computers and filing systems. One of her duties that has remained constant over the years is that of being the first person a customer will speak to when they call Ayers Well Drilling. Over the years, Mary has found the greatest joy in being at the heart of Ayers Well Drilling, and being able to provide a human connection in a very technical world.

Hobbies: Baking, reading, gardening, water aerobics & interior decorating.
Bucket list: Retire, relax, enjoy my grandchildren, vacation with my husband and live in the moment.
Favorite food: Chicken picatta and hot fudge sundae
Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: family close by, change of seasons, memories of my childhood growing up in Collinwood and Wickliffe.


Jimmy Ayers

Jimmy has been working in some capacity for Ayers Well Drilling for most of his life. From helping during weekends and summers during his school years to coming on as a full time employee in 2000, Jimmy has over 20 years of experience in the water industry. As a 1999 graduate of John Carroll University, Jimmy has used his business school degree to provide leadership and management to Ayers Well Drilling. Jimmy specializes in pumping systems and water treatment. He has completed several water system courses including Gould Pump School, CSI Water Treatment School, and is a certified Class A Public Water System Operator. Jimmy enjoys using his knowledge and experiences in the water industry to provide our customers with exceptional water service and quality.
Hobbies: I enjoy watching our local sports teams, fishing, golfing and spending time with family and friends
Work fun fact: Getting pulled out of bed on Saturday mornings when I was a kid to help my dad with jobs.
Bucket list: Attending the Masters tournament at Augusta, Going fly fishing in Patagonia, Seeing the Browns win a Super Bowl

Favorite food: Homemade sausage
Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: I’ve been in NE ohio my whole life and what I love about it is the strong sense of community we share. I love the blue collar mentality of our city. I love the sense of rebirth we are feeling now and the strong network of friends and family I have here


Kyle Brenenstuhl

Kyle has been with the company for 3 years. He focuses on the installation of pumps, water treatment, well rehabilitations and general service of water systems. Kyle has been married for 8 years and is expecting his first baby in the fall of 2019!

Hobbies: I like driving, watching movies, shooting , kayaking and building new things
Past work experience: I worked at Lubrizol as a Chemical operator and at Willoughby Supply loading roofs and warehouse.
Bucket list: Travel to Australia, swim with sharks, Safari in Africa
Favorite quote: Telling someone “I told you so” when I think I’m right! (This is not technically a quote, but we’ll let this one slip!)
Favorite food: I basically eat like a kid, pizza, burgers, pasta, chicken nuggets, but my favorite is mozzarella sticks
Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: Big hearted Cleveland fans, no crazy natural disasters and living near family.


Ryan Hollingsworth

Ryan has been with Ayers Well Drilling for 3 years and he does everything from new installs to diagnosing and troubleshooting residential systems. Kyle is married with two kids, and they also share their lives with two basset hound dogs.

Hobbies: boating, fishing, collecting and working on vintage outboard motors for boats
Past work experience: Before coming to Ayers, I spent 12 years working in the plumbing and sewage industry
Bucket list: Go to Alaska, have a big enough collection of boats and motors to open up a museum, spend my retirement by a lake and boating and fishing every day
Favorite quote: “Well done is better than well said” Ben Franklin
Favorite food: Pasta with homemade sauce
Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: Summertime and having access to Lake Erie and all the other lakes and rivers in Northeast ohio for boating and fishing.


Bob Horracks

Bob has been with the company for almost a year and he focuses on diagnose, service and repairs on well water systems. He has been married for 20 years with 3 kids, a dog and a cat.

Hobbies: Golf, archery and singing in a local cover band.
Past work experiences: For the past 17 years I was the Director of a community school. I have also worked as a roofer, concrete laborer, finish carpenter, flooring installer and general contractor.
Bucket list: Seeing the Rocky Mountains in the Fall, throwing a game of darts at a small pub in London, England, and watching the Cleveland Indians play the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
Favorite quote: “Beer is positive proof that God loves us” Ben Franklin. “Do what you love and you will never work a day in your life” Confucius
Favorite food: Cheeseburger with everything on it
Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: Summer and Autumn in Geauga County and the “Midwest” people.
