Jim Ayers

Jim is a lifelong resident of Kirtland, Ohio. He attended & graduated from the Kirtland schools then went on to earn his BSBA from Ohio University in Athens. Jim worked with his father Howard E. (Sam) Ayers from the age of 14 to 21. After Howard’s untimely death in 1970, Jim ran the business for his mother Eloise Ayers for two years until he purchased the company himself in 1972. Jim met and married his wife Mary in 1975 and had two sons Jimmy (1976) and Mike (1980). Over the years, Jim has completed various technical schools including Myers Pump School, Red Jacket Pump School, Gould Pump School, Schramm Technical Drilling Schools, Water Soft Training School, Baroid Drilling Fluids Certification course, and is a Certified Class a Public Water System Operator. Jim is also a past president of the Ohio Water Well Association (OWWA).

Hobbies: Traveling, skeet shooting, fishing and work.

Work fun fact: Started working with my father at 12 years old. Carrying water for the old drilling rigs and just being around the jobs. Worked on various commercial project around Northeast Ohio over the years.

Bucket list: See another Cleveland Browns championship ( I was at the last one in 1964!), Travel to Italy

Favorite things about living in Northeast Ohio: People & changes of seasons. Least favorite thing is the changes of seasons!!
